That many of you do not post your real life name. Is there a reason why? I afraid I might be a little too open with my personal information.
The next question:
What meaning is behind your posting board screen name.
Mine is gritsmommyof5
Grits stands for Girl's raised in the south. I am a Mom of five. I also love GRITS!

Cute!!! I love your new avatar also!!!
Well, mine is self explanitory. I think some people don't say their name because they are too young and their parents don't want them to say their names.
Mine is Amy.

That is SO funny that you posted about what your screen name means, because I was just wondering about yours the other day!
I like grits, too, and was raised in TX, but am now in Connecticut.
I also like it when people who know the poster use her real name, or if the screen name has more of a meaning to me.
I'm Jennifer and jenndon is a combo of my first and last name.

I chose shortie because I didnt really want my name as my board name. Besides, Rachel is fairly common and just about anything I could think of was taken. The reason shortie was picked should be an obvious one, Im 21 and only 5ft tall LOL I added the stars because I like them and for no other reason than that. It jazzes it up a bit.

Rach,
We call my Mom shortie also. I had a feeling that was the meaning of your name. She is 4'11 but my Dad is 6'2! They really do not match in height.LOL

My name is also pretty self explanatory I think- my kids love AG! I used it because I'm not an AG collector myself- just my kids are, I'm just the enabler and well, AGenabler seemed a little odd. I do enjoy the board, though and have stuck around after finding it when I was looking for information on the MCM sale. I often sign my real name, Jo (okay I guess that's a nickname- my given name is Joelle, but Jo is quicker to type), but not always. Now that you know my name is Joelle, please NO ONE feel compelled to sing, Joelle, Joelle, to the tune of Noel. I hear it so much this time of year I suppose I could have been tallie as I'm 6 feet tall, but that just doesn't have the same ring to it as shortie.
Merry Christmas,
Jo

Oh my lord! And I thought my boyfriend and I were bad-he's 6 or 6'1. LOL, my grandmother is like that; she is 4'10 and had nine kids-in a span of only 13yrs no less. And not a one of them was tall because her husband was 5'6 LOL
The funny thing is, I actally dont get called shortie by anybody. Mainly because all sides of my family are just as small. My tallest uncle is 5'8 As for my friends, well, they make the short jokes every now and again, but I usually nail them for something else so it doesnt happen too often, LOL But I usually just look at my height as carrying on a long-or short?-family tradition and dont really care
